My First Irish Open

Not much to report here, this was my first Irish Open and it certainly wasn't one of my best poker experiences. Nothing seemed to work for me, when I got a big hand I either got no action or else got it busted. I decided to take the cautious approach, thinking that patience would pay off and it nearly did, well sort of.
I made it to level 7, not sure how, as I never had a comfortable stack as such and when I eventually got it in racing I didn't flip well enough. Still I guess it was an experience, hopefully one that will be improved upon next year, when I last a bit longer and hopefully get a reasonable stack together at some point. Rob exited about 30 mins after me. He was going better but he's as bad at racing as I am.
Very high standard of field, really does manage to pull in most of the big names, so I guess I can't hope for too much in my first year playing it.
Hopefully I'll get the chance to play it again next year and do better than this year. Well done to all the Irish who cashed.
